Pat & Ross Shimmon

Ross from childhood fondly remembers Teresa. Ross was a cousin living in Fareham and visited Teresa and her family at their home in Copnor, Portsmouth for family events and vice versa. I am attaching a photo of Teresa in the back garden of their house at the time of her brother Brian's ordination as a priest in June 1963. We saw her and her family much less frequently as we all grew up and we moved away. But Ross's mother, Eileen Shimmon, was a sister tutor at Knowle hospital, she invited Teresa to come to live with her in her cottage on the hospital estate. later, Teresa moved again to become a close neighbour of hers. By all accounts they enjoyed each other's company.
